Happy 3rd birthday Hailey!
My little princess turned 3 years old yesterday, but we celebrated her birthday the day before, May 19. Hailey was very excited about her birthday. She often tell me, "It's almost my birthday, ma." When she sees the stack of chairs, she would say, "That's for my party." She even requested for lechon when asked what food she wants for her party. She also wanted the giant pizza I showed her on the ipad. Of course, her request was for a Cinderella themed party. She was wearing her blue dress and a tiara with matching white shoes. Her cake was a caramel cake from Costa Brava then I just placed the Cinderella topper I bought from Goldilock's. She really enjoyed eating the lechon. She was so happy too receiving lots of gifts. She was a very happy girl that day. I'm so glad we were able to give her a beautiful party even if her guests were just family. She was very happy about her party that when she saw that all the tables and chairs were no longer there she cried. I told her we had to keep them because her party was done.
Yesterday, on her actual birthday, we watched The Avengers as she also requested to watch this movie. We had sour cream popcorn and soda. She liked the movie. She fell asleep for a while then woke up towards the ending. Her favorite character was Iron Man. She liked the part where Iron Man was unconscious then the Hulk shouted which awoke Iron Man. She would say, "Iron Man was dead then the Incredible Hulk said RAAAARRR, then Iron Man woke up. She kept on telling me after the movie, "Mommy, The Avengers is good." We ate at Pepper Lunch after then looked around in Toys r Us.
Time flies so fast, my little baby is a big girl now. I dread the day when she has to go to big school already.
I love you baby girl. I love hearing you say, " You're my best friend, Mommy!" You are my best friend too, baby! Sorry for being grumpy when you and Griffin make a mess or are "magulo".

Griffin turns 7
Griffin is 7 years old today. Time flies so fast. It seems like only a few years ago, he was my baby. We used to be together 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He would always want me by his side saying he'd miss me if I would go somewhere without him. He is now in Grade 1 and has grown up to be a very smart boy. He has never given me problems regarding school work. But I hope that he learns to control his temper now that he's older. We did not throw him a party for his 7th birthday, we just gave him a wii instead. He's very happy with his gift. Happy birthday baby boy! Wishing you many many more birthdays to come!

Hailey is 2 years old
Hailey turned 2 years old last friday, May 20. She had an Elmo cake and Elmo cupcakes, as well as floating balloons. She loved her cakes and cupcakes and started eating the icing. She also enjoyed playing with the floating balloons. In the afternoon, we checked in at Sofitel to spend the night there. Once in the hotel room, she immediately went on the bed. She loved going up and down the bed and playing by the drapes. After a while, we went swimming then Griffin and Hailey played on the playground. She had fun on the swing and see saw. At around 4:30 pm we went back to the room to take a shower and get ready for dinner at Spirals. Hailey fell asleep, but when she woke up, she feasted on shrimp dumplings, fried kani and tempura. The next morning we had buffet breakfast then played in the playground for a while, before returning to the room to wait for check out time.
Hailey at 2 years old, still does not talk in phrases although she adds more and more words to her vocabulary everyday. Her current favorite expression is "eww". She says this when she sees something that looks dirty or yucky. She's also really good at putting on her pajamas by herself as well as eating on her own. She can say the animal sounds of a dog, cat, duck, cow, elephant, tiger, lion, and monkey. The following are some of the newer words she knows:
May 1 - no
May7- anana for banana
- duck
- rio
- byu for blue
May19-up
May 23 - bi for big
- coke
- quack quack
- moo
- bi for big
-bow for bowl

My birthday
It was my birthday yesterday. We had no special food, not even a birthday cake. The day was kind of hectic since Griffin had classes and it was raining so hard. We got home so late because the traffic was so bad around the school. We'll be having my post birthday celebration at Yaki Mix on Saturday so that my mom, Apit, Nikki and Iper can join us. I'll probably buy a cake later so Griffin and Hailey can blow out the candles and we can have some photos together.

Griffin is 6!
Griffin turned 6 years old last Monday. How time flies, he's growing up so fast. Next year, he'll be in Grade 1 already. He's a very smart kid so I don't have any problems with his school work. My main concern is his temper. He can't control it especially when he gets frustrated at something he can't do. I really hope he would outgrow his tantrums really soon.

Hailey at 1
Hailey turned one year old last thursday. At a year old, Hailey can already walk unaided but she is limited to a couple of steps. She is still a bit afraid to walk alone. Her steps are not that stable yet. She can't talk yet so she gets what she wants by screaming and pointing to whatever she wants you to do. When i am doing something and she wants my attention, she forces her way into my arms by trying to lie down on my arms. She seems to have a good memory too like Griffin. She's very possessive of me, specially when she sees me carrying Griffin. Even if, i am carrying both of them, she tries to push Griffin out of the way.

Happy Birthday to me
It is my birthday today. We brought Griffin to school then went to Greenhills and ate at Shakey's. We picked Griffin up then passed by Red Ribbon to buy a cake. Griffin sang the birthday song then we both blew the candles out. I then ordered Amber's palabok and barbecue for dinner.

Griffin turns 5
Griffin turned 5 years old today. As was his request, he had a Ben 10 cake and cupcakes. I also bought him flying balloons. Of course, he got to open his gifts which were mostly Ben 10 toys. He particularly loved the Alien Creation Chamber. We went to Greenbelt to eat at Chili's but there were no more seats so we ended up at Flapjacks. My baby is a big boy already. I will miss the times when he was younger that we spend every single day together, just the two of us.

Pirate Griffin
We attended Joaquin's Pirate themed 7th birthday yesterday. Griffin had a blast seeing pirates, wearing a pirate costume and even doing some sword fighting. He also had a skull "tattooed" on his arm. Unfortunately, we left before the party was over and missed the Magic show. We still had another party to attend at the Fun Ranch. Griffin loved the loot he got, especially the treasure chest and the chocolate gold coins. When we got home, he put on his pirate costume and pretended to be a pirate, fighting and looking for treasure.
Here are some photos:

Willie's Birthday
It was Willie's birthday yesterday. He was on leave for that day. We brought Griffin to school that morning and he wasn't in a good mood but his teacher told him that they would be racing cars that day and was able to coax him into going in the room.
When I picked him up a few hours later, he was still in a bad mood. He looked so sad. He said it was because he wanted the car that opens. We proceeded to Greenbelt where we had lunch at Fish and Co. Initially he was still sad, until we started taking some pictures then he began to smile and laugh already. Griffin ate garlic bread dipped in butter or clam chowder. He also had some fries which he covered in salt.
We were supposed to watch The Clone Wars but it was not showing at Greenbelt. We ended up at Time Zone then Powerbooks and Landmark. After, we proceeded to Seattle's Best where Griffin had milkshake and a giant oatmeal raisin cookie. That night, we had Amber's palabok and barbecue.
Here we are at Fish and Co.

Here's the AVP I made:

Griffin's 4th Birthday
We did not have a party for Griffin's 4th Birthday. I just had the Mystic Force Power Rangers cake and cupcakes made as he requested. The night before, he slept a little early, so I had time to inflate his balloons and make his clown balloon arrangement. I put up his tarpaulin and taped some balloons around it. My mom and I moved our dining table and brought up a small round table for his cake.

The morning of his birthday, he woke up and wanted to "nenen". Willie told him, it was his birthday and he's already 4 years old so he's not supposed to "nenen" anymore. He said, " You mean now?". He got up already and asked for some water. I told him not to go out of the room yet. I went out to arrange the cake and cupcakes on the table. I had him put on dress up clothes so that he won't be in pajamas in the pictures.
When he opened the door of the room and saw the cake and balloons he said, "Wow!". He ran to the cake. We took some pictures. We sang Happy Birthday to him I asked him to make a wish before blowing his candle and he said, " I wish for a baby!". After the candle blowing, he wanted to see his gifts already. I gave him a map and some clues to where he could find his gifts. Of course, he loved all his gifts and began playing with his toys especially the Transformers.
At night, he had a joint party at Tai-ma's house with JD and Auntie Pebbles. He ate barbecue and pizza crust then he played with Jamie and JD till around 9:30 pm. My mom told him that we were going home and he did not complain. He looked sleepy already. He was one happy boy on his birthday.

Griffin's School Party
Griffin was supposed to have his birthday party in school tomorrow, friday. But because of their field trip to Fort Santiago on friday, his party was moved to today, July 31. Since his party was moved one day earlier, I had to buy him a Goldilock's cake for his school party because his Power Ranger cake would not be ready yet. We were able to get the character cookies though, so these were given to his classmates this morning.
My mom, my sister and I were at Griffin's school party so we were able to take photos and videos. The kids had spaghetti, hotdogs, colored sandwiches and cake. Griffin really enjoyed his party in school and I'm sure his classmates loved their loot bags.
When Teacher Cristy asked him how old he is, he said, "I'm still three". She then asked, "When will you be four?" He said, "On August 2". He doesn't consider himself 4 years old yet, not until it's August 2. He told me a few days ago, "When I'm four, I will help you clean up and I won't nenen anymore". Well, to see is to believe. : )
Here are some photos of his party:
This is the invitation I made for his classmates.

This is his round mocha cake from Goldilock's. I was just supposed to get the small round cake but they did not have that size in mocha flavor.

Happy Birthday Ama!
Yesterday was my mom's 60th birthday. The day before, I had prepared an audio visual presentation which featured pictures of her with Griffin from the time Griffin was still a baby till the present. At the end of AVP was a video of Griffin singing Happy Birthday then he says' "I love you Ama!" This was Griffin's gift to her and she really loved it.
When I picked Griffin up in school, he was sad. He told me about a jacket or costume in school which he couldn't get, but I don't exactly know why he felt bad. He was really feeling sad, that seeing Ama's cake did not cheer him up much as he was singing Happy Birthday in a sad voice. He had even cried during the candle blowing because he only wanted to blow the zero while my mom was to blow the 6 , however when he blew out the candle, both candles were blown so he began crying.
After a little while though, he was ok already and back to his usual self. He ate 2 sticks of barbecue, the Spongebob choco lollipop and cake. We only had a simple celebration at lunch time, with palabok, barbecue, inihaw na baboy and pichi-pichi.
We were supposed to eat at Tong Yang that night but at around 5:30 pm, my dad had a seizure so he had to be brought to the hospital. He is currently admitted at UST hospital so that his doctor could check on him. Hopefully, they'll be back home soon.

Shopping at Divisoria
We went to Divisoria yesterday to shop for stuff for Griffin's party in school. I actually shopped for loot bag items and the loot bag itself. Our first stop was Divisoria mall where I bought the bags, pencil cases, glitter pens and notebooks. Outside the mall we bought the paper balls and blowouts. We transferred to 168 mall because Griffin wanted to go there. We ate at the food court then looked around again. Here, I bought party hats, erasers, pencils and whiteboards. I just hope I bought enough loot bags. According to Griffin, there are 5 boys and 6 girls in his class. Anyway, it would be easy to go back to Divisoria since I know where to buy the stuff already. The total cost for each loot bag is P116.59. It's quite expensive but I'm happy with what I bought. I'm sure Griffin's classmates will love it.

Griffin's 3rd Birthday
We decided to throw a party for Griffin's 3rd birthday. I think that at this age, he would enjoy and remember this party. At first, I was planning a zoo theme like the Madagascar movie but couldn't find a good Jollibee venue in or near Makati so I decided to have the party at Mc Donald's.
Mc Donald's was perfect because they had the Power Rangers themed party. Griffin loved the Power Rangers so when I told him he would have a Power Rangers party, he became very excited about it. To add to his excitement, I told him that he would have a Power Rangers cake and cupcakes.
Whenever he is asked when his birthday is, he would answer, "My birthday is in August 2,... the Power Rangers party!"
The day of his party came and he enjoyed it, loved the cake and cupcakes and of course, he had lots of gifts to open.
A few days after his party, he told me, "Mommy, my Power Rangers party is closed."

Griffin's 2nd Birthday
When Griffin turned 2, we did not have a party for him. On that day, we just ate out then went to Toys 'r Us and bought him some toys. I bought a small cake, decorated it with m&m's and kissables then placed 2 candles on top of it. When we got home, I placed balloons on his small chairs and arranged it around his table where I placed the cake. It was a very simple birthday but I know that he was happy that day. He loved the pound-a-ball castle, drum set, winnie the pooh couch, soccer ball, tent house and v-tech computer we got for him. He then had a simple party that weekend with JD and Auntie Pebbles as co-celebrants.

Griffin's 1st Birthday
We celebrated Griffin's 1st birthday with a Finding Nemo themed party. We had the party at our vacant house just in front of where we live. We put up tarpaulin banners on all the walls in line with the Nemo theme. Prizes and loot bags for all the kids had something to do with sea creatures. There was also a magic show which was a gift from our relatives.
Months before, in preparation for Griffin's party, I introduced him to the Finding Nemo movie and book to familiarize him with the characters. From that time on, he became very fond of fish. In fact, his very first word was fish which he pronounced as "hish".
