First Day of Summer School

It was Griffin first day at summer school today. I told him yesterday that he has to sleep early because he has school the next day. He told me, "Is it May 5 already?" He still remembers that I told him he would go to school on May 5. As usual, he could not go to sleep early. I read him Pinocchio and Goldilocks and the Three Bears over and over again while we were lying down on the bed but he could not sleep. When I turned off the light, he asked to watch Dora. He fell asleep while watching but it was probably past midnight already.

He was not ready to get up yet when I tried waking him up at around 8:30 this morning. He was still sleepy so I let him sleep a while. At around 10 minutes to 9 am, I dressed him and told him it was time to go to school. He was suddenly wide awake. On the way down, he saw Iper and said he was going to school. He told Iper, "I'll be back." He was holding his lunch box while entering the car, he couldn't get in because the lunch box was a litlle heavy that's why he said to me, " Can you give me a push?" We were at his school in San Antonio Village in 5 minutes. I went inside with him and he immediately put his lunch box in the cubby hole then proceeded to the toys. He wasn't able to play though because the teacher asked them to go to the room already. He was ready to go to the room and I told him I'll be back for him. He didn't seem to mind that I would be leaving him and just proceeded to the room.

When I picked him up, he was crying. I actually heard him saying something while he was still in the room then he started crying. When we asked him why he was crying, he said, he wanted to walk by myself but the girl accompanied him.

When we got home, I asked him if he had fun and he said, "Yes". The teacher told me that Griffin knows a lot already and that he even spelled his name. I hope Griffin will learn a lot and will love going to school.
