Blogging comeback

It has been a long time, approximately three and a half years since my last post. I kind of regret not blogging these past few years as I was not able to record in writing the special events and milestones of my kids. Of course, I have pictures but not everything can be captured by photos, like small anectdotes and conversations with my kids. I hope to blog regularly from now on.

This past school year has been very good for both Griffin and Hailey. Hailey had a merit card for three quarters while Griffin obtained First Honors for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarter. They both missed the Annual awards because they got a grade of B in one subject for one quarter. Griffin would have graduated with honors. He was kind of sad that he did not get a medal.

Since it's summer vacation, it's breaktime from school. They are both enjoying activities they love. No need to get up early and no homework until June.

Griffin's First Quarter Report Card

Griffin got his report card last thursday. He had very very good grades. His highest grade was 100 for Language while his lowest grade was 93 for CLE. The rest of his grades are as follows: Chinese-94, Reading-99, Filipino-96, Math-97, Science-98, Social Studies-96. His quarterly average was 97 which qualified as 1st Honor. He also got the Diligence Award for having a grade of Outstanding in both Conduct and Effort. When my mom told him, "Wow, you're 1st Honor!", he said, "What's that?". He doesn't know what being 1st honor is because during preschool, they weren't given awards like these. Good job Griffin! We're so proud of you! Keep it up!

Second quarter report card

Griffin got his report card today. As I expected, he got good grades again. He got HS in Reading, Language, Math, Filipino and Chinese. This time he got an award for good penmanship. Good job Griffin! Keep it up!

Griffin's First Quarter Report Card

I am very happy with Griffin's first quarter grades. He got HS in Filipino, Math, Reading, Language and Chinese. According to his teacher, Griffin's intellectual ability is amazing. He just needs to be more assertive. He is kind of shy in school. I am really glad that he is doing so well in school. I hope he keeps it up.
